Addition and Alteration of Prime time Preschool at Issaquah, 2012:
The 1960's structure, once served as a 1850 sq ft residential building had a face lift and a totally new floor plan to serve three classroom Montessori fusion new preschool. The new addition to the building is the main hole which provides access both classrooms and reception/office. The ADA standard bathrooms shared by two classrooms are in the center of the building . The hub connects and divides the two rooms for multipurpose use.
The client previously renovated and altered another residential building in adjacent parcel. With the new addition of these classrooms two buildings form a campus by common used playground and landscape. Since the residential building turned into a school building it required extra code research and was subject to additional permits. ( change of occupancy)
Murals in the classrooms are designed and painted by Zeynep Banu Alev.

Alev House LandscapeProject 2010:
Alev House perches on a very steep Mercer Island hill looking west with a backyard surrounded by high evergreen trees. Hopeless few years of trails of growing grass left the first time gardener Alevs tired. With a drastic approach they decided to change the whole look and style of the garden. Now garden not only connects upper and the lower part of the house but also creates small but rich niche with interesting lookout points to the surrounding vegetation and Washigton Lake. Harmonious composition of pebble, rocks and stone form the hardscape of the garden creating intimate gathering places and a lot of corner for curious playtime.

Goubert House: Connecting front porch to deck over garage with a Bridge 2011
This beloved 100 year old Capitol Hill House tries to retrofit itself to today's needs. With the help of the bridge the family has connection to a larger deck area. For Capitol Hill has a historical significant it is important to make any changes to the architectural features of the house. Therefore the bridge was studied thoroughly for a suitable look consulting with the owner and analyzing the architectural characteristics of the neighborhood.

Ekin's Room: Connecting the small bedroom to loft storage for extra play area 2015
This was my son's room. He recently turned 13 and this was his gift. He now not only has many special storage areas for all his toys and books but also finally had a loft bed and a play room. The play room was an existing empty storage area with an opening to the bedroom.The altering steps to the loft bed and the play room, the plumbing pipe railings are some of the unique design ideas, this room features. Another important design feature is the inserted prefabricated drawers we got from IKEA. The built in structure designed around the prefabricated inserts. Since this was a very unique built in structure we needed a designer-builder to communicate. For that many thanks to Monsters Toolbox master builder Boris.
